Olidia is a CE-certified medical device composed of poly-L-lactic acid (PLLA), developed for use in professional aesthetic treatments. It is injected into the deep dermis or subcutaneous layer to restore facial volume and enhance skin quality.
As a biodegradable polymer, PLLA gradually activates collagen synthesis over time, leading to progressive and natural skin rejuvenation.
Olidia helps improve severe facial wrinkles and folds in adults, correct volume loss, treat facial lipoatrophy, and address contour irregularities.
Visible results typically appear within 1 to 3 months after the initial treatment. After completing a series of three sessions spaced four weeks apart, the effects can last between 12 to 24 months. Regular maintenance every 6 to 12 months helps sustain youthful skin by continuously stimulating collagen production.
Needle marks from the procedure usually fade within a few days. Bruising and swelling may occur, but they typically subside naturally within a few hours to a few days. After the procedure, it is recommended to avoid alcohol consumption, smoking, hot baths or saunas, and strenuous exercise for a certain period.
It is recommended to hydrate the product using a dedicated roller mixer for at least 1 to 3 hours.
According to the clinical research team’s study, excessive vibration may cause phase separation, and therefore its use is not recommended.
Research shows that PLLA particle size can affect treatment efficacy and patient satisfaction. Olidia’s particles consistently range from 30–60 μm, which contributes to both effectiveness and safety.
